Decorate Your Guestroom With Stylish Sheer Curtains and Daybeds - Home - Home Accessories

Turning a spare room in your home into a guest bedroom is a smart idea, and with some planning you can have fun designing that space. Your guest bedroom should be decorated keeping in mind the theme of the rest of your home. You can extend the contemporary decor of your home to the guest room with the addition of stylish furniture pieces such as daybeds.

Daybeds work extremely well in guest bedrooms, as they double up as a couch during the day and make a comfortable bed for your guests at night. With some throw pillows, the daybed can turn into the perfect lounge area for your guests to unwind and read. Daybeds are ideal for the guest bedroom as they free up a lot of floor space, making the room look uncluttered and neat. They are functional and stylish at the same time. They are available in various styles like sleigh style, chateau style and contemporary style.

You can dress-up your daybed with decorative bolster pillows on both ends of the daybed to give it a chic look. Follow this up with good quality sheets and a warm comforter to ensure your guests experience peaceful sleep. End tables are a good accompaniment with daybeds; they serve as nightstands for your guest and give the daybed a balanced look.

To complete the decor of your guest room, opt for drapes to complement the contemporary design. Sheer curtains are an ideal addition to a minimalist and modern room. Sheer curtains serve a dual purpose of providing privacy and letting the natural light seep through windows. Sheer drapes are available in a variety of materials like lace, voile or a cotton polyester blend.

Floor length sheer curtains can help you visually expand a modest sized guest bedroom. You can easily create an illusion of space by hanging sheer drapes that extend from the ceiling to the floor. You can hang sheer curtains in a simple pleated style or decorate the windows using multiple panels of sheer fabric in different hues for a layered look.
Sheer curtains and daybeds give a modern twist to home furnishing and an effortless contemporary style to your home.
