Promote Your Etsy Shop and Increase Sales With These Easy Steps - owl pillows reviews and guide
1. Create a Facebook Fan Page. It does not have to be anything elaborate, simply fill in the blanks, upload some pictures of your items, and add the "My Etsy" App so customers can go directly to your Esty shop. Having a Facebook Page also gains you credibility with Google and will help you appear in search results. The more ways you can get Google to recognize you, the better.
2. Add Google Analytics to your account. There are some very simple steps that Etsy provides for doing this. It takes about 5 minutes, and will give you invaluable information. It will show you what times of day you receive the most visits, how many people visit your page each day, how long they stay, what links or keywords led them to your site, and more. This helps you gain rich keyword filled titles, know what times of day are best to list items, etc.
3. Join Teams. There are many teams on Etsy that can help you promote your shop or mingle with crafters who have similar interests. This is a great way to get advice from fellow Etsians.
4. Study up on SEO. It sounds complicated, and it is, but there are many articles out there that help you to be found better in search engines. Almost 50% of my site traffic comes from Google. About 18% comes from Etsy directly. This means that if you are not being found in Google results, you are missing out on about 50% of the views that others are getting. Fix your titles and first two sentences of your descriptions to be filled with keywords, Google looks only at these first 160 characters.
5. Use Google AdWords. This will allow you to search for a topic and find keywords that others are using when looking for your items. For example, I sell Owl Pillows, so AdWords recommends that I use the words decoration, stuffed, room decor, etc. I then take these words and add them into my titles and descriptions.
6. There are things called BNR Treasuries that can help you gain sales and be noticed by fellow Etsians. Buy and Replace Treasuries are where you purchase an item from the treasury indicated, and that item is replaced by one from your shop. I have done this when I see an item I want/need, and it has paid off in return sales. Go to Buy, Explore Treasury, Search "bnr", and Most Recent.
7. Submit an item to craftjuice.com. It is a rating site where you can submit crafts and people rate them. Sounds corny, but they show up in Google. And that is the Goal!
8. BE PATIENT! All of your efforts will take time to show results.
Best wishes with your Etsy stores!
