New Outdoor Furniture Cushions: Planning Your Outdoor Space Makeover - Home - Home Accessories
It's that time of year when the cold winter days are giving you the blues and you're longing for warmer weather. If you find that your anticipation of Spring is getting the best of you--imagine lounging on outdoor furniture cushions that are super comfy, perhaps reading a book or taking a quick nap--then it's time to think about your patio or deck.
Being the smart, savvy shopper that that you are, you've probably already started looking at your current outdoor furniture cushions. If you've just updated them, then you won't have too much to do. But if it's been a while, and you have cabin fever, maybe you're in the mood for something new. Winter can do that to us--make us so restless that we'll throw out the old in exchange for something fresh and bright. Here are some tips to help you in the planning phase.
Plan your design around your landscape. You can choose to compliment the space with a bold design and color or blend so you can accent another feature of your backyard.
Try to unite your indoor space with the outdoors. A trend that's been around for a while now is uniting both indoor and outdoor spaces. You can do this with a fabric that goes well with both decors, accessories like pillows and pots.
Measure your current cushions. If you have all the right measurements, you can create a custom seat cushion online. Include the back, front, depth, width. When you do find an online cushion designer, you'll be able to input these values.
Changing things like seat cushions and accessories is a small way to make a big statement. It's also only a small dent in your budget. You can probably save even more by shopping online now. Outdoor items are still clearanced online. Or if you notice small accessories on sale at your local store, go for it. Then when the sun does decide to grace us with its warmth, you'll have everything on hand to assemble the patio or deck you've wanted.
